One of the most important time management strategies that I have discovered on my professional path is developing the habit of analyzing and filtering my daily/weekly/monthly tasks and projects into 2 main categories: important and urgent. Items are not usually in the same category. It is a constant struggle to walk away from urgent in favor of important-but I know I feel more successful if I get to check off tasks that are important-because those are the things that I am passionate about-the things that define me and my goals and vision.
