In your zone…or pushing out of it?

There is an awesome quote that I found by a relatively unknown author named Noela Evans ,“Challenge is a dragon with a gift in its mouth. Tame the dragon and the gift is yours.” Resonate or recoil? This is a topic I think about quite often as I work with folks who are uncomfortable with some (a lot actually) of the content I teach and present. Tick-tock…

One of the most important time management strategies that I have discovered on my professional path is developing the habit of analyzing and filtering my daily/weekly/monthly tasks and projects into 2 main categories: important and urgent. Items are not usually in the same category. It is a constant struggle to walk away from urgent in favor of important-but I know I feel more successful if I get to check off tasks that are important-because those are the things that I am passionate about-the things that define me and my goals and vision.
